An EDM hole popper drills small, accurate holes with a rotating tube electrode. Water flows through the electrode at high pressure, up to 120 bar, and the sparks erode the metal. The head holds and turns the electrode. Our EDM hole popper head, also called EDM drill popping head or EDM drill head, is the heart of every hole popper EDM machine. Use it in your own EDM hole drilling machine.

Hole popper vs sinker EDM

A hole popper EDM machine drills a hole with a tube electrode and flushing water, and is made for fast small holes. A sinker EDM burns a shaped cavity with a shaped electrode. The wire EDM hole popper use is common: you drill the start hole for wire EDM with a hole popper, and then thread the wire.

An EDM hole popper uses electrodes and EDM hole popper guides (ceramic guides), and filters and resin for the water. Our head works with the BAX generator, which makes a complete EDM hole popper setup.
